What is Chargly?
Chargly is a Shopify app that lets you recover credit card processing fees by adding a surcharge at POS checkout. Instead of absorbing the 2-3% credit card processing cost, Chargly transparently passes it to the customer.
How It Works
You create a transaction fee in the Chargly app (percentage or fixed amount)
At POS checkout, your staff taps the Chargly tile
Chargly calculates the fee based on the cart total and adds it automatically
If items are added/removed, Chargly recalculates on the next tap
Fee Types
Percentage fee: e.g., 3% credit card surcharge
Fixed fee: e.g., $1.00 flat processing fee
Multiple fees: You can create multiple fee types (e.g., separate rates for credit cards vs. Amex). When you tap the tile, you'll be prompted to select which fee to apply.
Supported Channels
Shopify POS: Fully supported with one-tap workflow
Online Store: Chargly is primarily designed for POS. For online surcharges, contact us to discuss your needs.
